International

Our County offers many opportunities for international travel and especially in our Centenary year 2009-2010.  Trips are organised by Units, Districts and County.  Guiders leading overseas trips undertake additional trainings before taking girls overseas.

Capital Jig was a special event organised by London and South East Region of which our County is part in October 2009 when many units went on a weekend visit to Edinburgh, Paris, Prague and London.  During the weekend, all of the units taking part were united in a special video link up between all four cities.

International trips in 2009 included visits to Euro Disney in France, Slovakia, Switzerland, Mexico. 

International trips in 2010 South Africa will be the destination for several groups from our region (London and South East England) during the summer of 2010 and these trips will include time spent at God's Golden Acre inthe Kwazulu Natal area of South Africa.  Others will go to India, France and one group will be undertaking The Ultimate Adventure group will be visiting the Far East, Australia and America and carrying out a service project en rout.

Adventures Around The World is a county run event where girls have the opportunity to experience international foods, take part in activities that they will experience if selected to represent our County and Region on overseas trips. There is also time to see and hear from girls who have previously been on overseas trips
